Setting the Stage

I know I have said this before but safe to say that I may possibly be the worst blogger in the history of bloggers!  The last time I blogged was on Valentines Day!

Well, we are now approaching Mother's Day Weekend and that means planting flowers!

Filling a blank space

I believe I must be the most sporatic blogger out there!  I love to do it but I just cannot get it together! But thats beside the point. 

I have this beautiful white vintage dresser with its original glass pulls on them in my upstairs hallway that I use for linens but I also have a big empty space on the wall above it.  I am trying to find some DIY projects to do to fill this blank spot and here are some of my options:

Always want a sunburst mirror but they are so expensive!  Centsationalgirl.com spent $20.00 making this one and I think it would go perfect above my dresser!

Funky fabric and embroidery hoops, love it!

Scrapbook paper and dollar store frames, so cheap!

Home Gym

It is time to get out of these winter blues and start eating fresh and healthy and working out again whether it's in your home, home gum, out on the path or at your local fitness center.

Herringbone

Who doesn't love a pattern that can look fun and classy at the same time?  Herringbone can be used in textiles, flooring, tiling, home furnishings and fashion.



This piece started as a mid century vintage writing desk and was refurbished into this beautiful dresser with a herringbone pattern.

Goodbye Holidays!

Now that the holiday season has officially ended it's a good time to give your home a nice clean fresh start for the New Year.  Here are some inexpensive ideas:

Replant plants into vintage containers

Succulants are great because it's very hard to kill them and they have such a wide range of bright green colors!  I love that they are being displayed in a clear glass vase!

I love to display fresh produce in my kitchen because it's beautiful with all of natures vibrant colors, inexpensive, and we can use it!

Change out family photos and make a really elegant wall display with black matted frames

Rearrange your living room and or bedrooms, it feels so good and clean and it can change the entire look of a space!

It's the Christmas Eve Eve and the fourth night of Hanukkah!!!  What a beautiful holiday season we are having with the grounds covered in a thick blanket of sparkling snow and the night sky so clear and crisp you can see all of the twinkling stars!  I hope everyone is able to celebrate by spending time with their family and enjoying the warmth of their home.
